This site offers free practice questions and resources for many standardized tests including the ACT, SAT, PSAT, AP tests, and more.

ACT

The ACT test is administered by the American College Testing Program.  It is an alternative to the SAT that tests reading, writing, math, and science.

AP

Advanced Placement exams are given by the CollegeBoard, the same company that makes the SAT. AP’s are college-level courses and exams in a variety of topics including calculus, physics, biology, art history, and more. They are scored on a 1-5 scale, and scores above 3 may recieve college credit.

GMAT

The Graduate Management Admission Test, GMAT, tests three sections:  Quantitative Section, Analytical Writing Assessment, and Verbal Section. It is mainly used for entrance to business school (MBA programs).

GRE

The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is the SAT for college students wishing to enter graduate school.  Each GRE Test Section has a possible score between 200 and 800. The exam covers verbal reasoning, math, and writing.

IB

International Baccalaureate courses are the international version of Advanced Placement exams. They are more focused on analysis and writing, then multiple choice. The exam is offered in many of the same areas as AP exams, and are scored on a 1-7 scale.

SAT

The SAT is the main college entrance exam taken by high school students. It a multiple choice test with three sections in Math, Critical Reading, and Writing. On these three multiple choice sections, the score ranges from 200 to 800. The SAT Essay is scored from 1 to 6, with 6 being the highest.

SAT Subject Tests

Many top colleges require scores from three SAT subject tests which demonstrate your knowledge of specific subject areas. They come in topics of math, history, science, and various foreign languages.

PSAT/NMSQT

The PSAT/NMSQT is an exam given the high school juniors that qualifies  them for the national merit scholarship program. It test critical reading, math, and writing skills. The exam is shorter and similar in structure to the SAT.
